  • Reassurance

Mental health is how an individual thinks or feels. An individual can have good mental health but also mental health difficulties from time to time. This can be described as feeling burned out, stressed, or overwhelmed. There are a variety of ways an individual could describe how they feel, the various types of mental health conditions for example depression, anxiety, disorders such as eating, and many others.

If we are experiencing low or poor mental health, it could affect our ability and productivity or our individual performance. A Mental Health First Aider is not someone who can diagnose or offers professional help, they learn and understand the signs and symptoms just to be able to offer support.
